Imli (YAY CURRY!)
We went to Imli at the weekend for a friends Birthday curry. Definitely the best new place I've been to in a while. I love it when I go to a restaurant and come away feeling like I've have had a great meal and a great evening and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Imli serve "tapas style" indian cuisine. Basically that means small plates of food. This concerned me as, I like my food, however fears were unfounded as they kept coming and piling more and more food on the table in front of us. The tasting menu is excellent and varied, lots of it is veggie too. It came to around £25 a head including a few bottles of wine. I reckon that's great value for excellent food, great service and in the middle of the rip-off tourist trap west end :D

i hate poncey wine bars
luckily
Gordons is not at all poncey! had a few tasty-gorgeous glasses wine last night with
Pauly and
Ralph. great to go to the pub with friends and talk bollocks for a few hours it seems I dont have time to do this very much these days. (note to self: must make more time for friends and boozing) anyway a cheeky portugese number to start off, followed by some french sauvignon of some sort which was delightful. finished up with some house white which wasnt quite up to scratch but by that point we didnt really care as we were fairly drunk.
rounded off the evening with a couple of cheeky pints of export in the ship and shovel, pauly made his big journey back to folkstone and Ralph and I got to talking about property, which was inevitable (mr anderson). anyway great to see you guys and will catch up with you both soon. just a few hours to get through at work before I can wend my merry way, via the magic of virgin trains, to blackburn, and one I love (and Tzar of course). the house was very quiet this morning without them :(
